Little Hill Primary School

Pupil Premium

What is Pupil Premium?

Pupil Premium is extra government money which is paid to schools to support children from low-income families, looked after children, and those with parents in the Armed Forces, to reach their potential.

Our key objective is using the pupil premium grant to narrow the gap between pupil groups.  As a school, we have a good track record of ensuring that pupils make good progress.  Historically, national levels of attainment are lower for FSM children, but this is not the case in all of our year groups.

Through targeted interventions, we are working to eliminate barriers to learning and progress.

Pupil Premium Expenditure

At Langmoor we keep detailed records as to how this money is spent to support these and other pupils. These can be viewed in the Pupil Premium Statement document below. Apart from support supporting the cost of clubs, trips and uniforms, we also target resources to directly impact upon the academic progress of pupils.

Children in receipt of Pupil Premium receive:

  • FREE school meals
  • Subsidised school trips
  • One FREE internally run after-school club each year
  • Book Trust packs, to support and enhance learning
  • Grocery vouchers during school holidays
  • Access to FREE holiday clubs
  • Assistance with school uniform
  • FREE school milk

Pupil Premium funding also goes towards:

  • Counselling
  • Mentoring
  • Breakfast Club fees
  • Teaching interventions
  • Learning resources
